Specialized Treatments & Services We Offer

We provide a wide range of evidence-based treatments to help reduce pain, restore movement, and improve performance. Each technique is selected based on your individual needs, condition, and goals. Below is an easy-to-understand guide to the specialized services we offer.

Dry Needling

Dry needling uses a thin, sterile filament needle to relax tight muscles, reduce pain, and improve mobility. It helps release trigger points, decrease muscle tension, and promote natural healing. Many patients experience relief after just a few sessions, especially when dry needling is combined with exercise and manual therapy.

Cupping Therapy

Cupping uses gentle suction to lift soft tissues and improve blood flow. This can help reduce muscle tightness, decrease pain, and improve mobility. Patients often feel a light stretching sensation and immediate relief following treatment.

Graston / Instrument-Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization (IASTM)

Graston tools allow for targeted treatment of tight or irritated soft tissues. This technique helps:

  • Break up restrictions

  • Improve circulation

  • Reduce pain

  • Restore mobility

It is especially helpful for chronic tightness, scar tissue, tendon issues, and repetitive-strain injuries.

Custom or Off the Shelf Semi-Custom Orthotics

Orthotics support proper foot alignment and improve how your feet, ankles, knees, and hips function. We evaluate your gait, foot structure, and movement patterns to determine whether custom or prefabricated orthotics may help reduce pain, improve performance, or prevent future injury.

Taping/Wrapping Techniques

We offer several taping methods based on your specific needs:

  • McConnell Taping

    • A supportive taping technique used to help improve alignment, reduce pain, and guide proper movement—especially for the knee and patella.

  • Athletic Taping

    • Provides stability and protection during activity. Frequently used for ankle sprains, joint support, and return-to-sport situations.

  • Kinesiotape

    • A flexible tape that supports muscles and joints without limiting movement. It can help reduce swelling, improve circulation, and promote proper movement patterns.

  • Compression Wrapping for Ankle/Foot

    • Post Surgical/Injury Wrapping for control of Acute Swelling

Gait Evaluation

A detailed assessment of how you walk and run. We look at movement mechanics, foot placement, hip and knee alignment, and symmetry to identify the causes of pain or performance issues. This helps guide the most effective treatment plan and shoe recommendations.

Movement Evaluation

We analyze how your entire body moves during everyday activities and sport-specific motions. This evaluation identifies:

  • Muscle imbalances

  • Movement faults that may be contributing to pain/dysfunction

  • Weakness patterns

  • Mobility restrictions limiting movement progression or contributing to pain/dysfunction

Improving movement quality is key to reducing pain and enhancing performance.

Blood Flow Restriction Training (BFR)

BFR allows you to safely build strength using very light weights by temporarily reducing blood flow to the working muscles. It is especially beneficial for:

  • Post-operative Recovery

    • Helps maintain strength when heavy lifting is not yet safe or possible.

  • Rehabilitation & Performance

    • Improves strength, endurance, and muscle activation with less joint stress. Great for athletes or individuals with chronic pain who cannot tolerate heavy loads.

Shoewear Recommendations

The right shoes can make a significant difference in comfort and injury prevention. We assess your foot structure, arch type, walking pattern, and activity level to recommend the best shoe types for your needs—whether for daily walking, running, sports, or work.

Neuro Re-Education for Movement & Balance

This therapy retrains your nervous system to move more efficiently and safely. It helps improve:

  • Balance

  • Coordination

  • Posture

  • Muscle activation

  • Functional movement

It is especially useful after injury, surgery, or when compensations have developed over time.

Return-to-Play Testing

For athletes recovering from injury, we offer structured return-to-play evaluations that ensure you’re ready for the demands of your sport. Testing includes:

  • Strength and power assessment through dynamometry and dynamic assessments

  • Balance and stability checks

  • Movement mechanics

  • Agility, jumping, cutting, and sport-specific demands

This process helps assess readiness to return to play and improves prediction for a safe, confident return to competition
